Dolores (Dee) was born on March 26, 1944 in Passaic, N.J..  She spent her growing up years in Wallington, N.J. where she hung out at Maple’s Sweet Shop listening to some of the greatest music that we now call DooWop.  From there she and her friends seemed to  make it to NYC as often as they could to attend Alan Freed Shows (not that her Mom knew).

Dee is a widow with 3 grown daughters (Donna, Sharon & Lori) and 7 grandkids.  Two girls and five boys.  Her great-grandson is one year old and all Dee has to say is… “Phew it has been a trip!”

Dee has been a member of UGHA for many  years and has met many of the legends.  She has made many friends that are in the music business.   She hopes she can get some of them to come over so she can interview them during her show in Lodi, N.J. where she now resides.

Dee loves having guests on her show, so watch the posts to see who she will be interviewing  next.

Dee is also a commissioned minister and she  Loves The Lord, so God Bless.

You can tune in DWDee’s Echoes Of the Past show on DooWopRadio4U® …

image342.gifA Little About Our DJ'S

DJ Ray was born April 29th in New Orleans, La.   He has been a DJ for over 20 years, playing weddings and parties.

DJ Ray
grew up with Doo Wop.  He remembers as a kid walking down Magazine Street in New Orleans and hearing  “Annie Had A Baby”  by The Midnighters and “At My Front Door”  by The Eldorados.  That was when he fell in love with the Doo Wop sound.

DJ Ray  grew up listening to legendary New Orleans DJ’s like Poppa Stoppa and Jack the Cat.

His  love of Doo Wop and fifties R & B is the reason why it is a pleasure to be associated with DOOWOPRADIO4U and all the people that are helping to keep the music alive.

DJ Ray will be waiting on Creole Alley to play the songs he loves on:

Monday Evenings From 10 - 12 PM

Thursday Evenings From 8 PM -  10 PM

Dandy Don

Don was born and raised in New Rochelle, N.Y.  Don grew up hearing DooWop music because he had an older brother Kenny,  that had been singing in a group called the Cordials.  Kenny managed and sang in the Cordials for over 40 years.

Don sang in a group starting at an early age.  They called themselves the Veltones and were managed by one of the singers from the Crewcuts.  If you ask he might play their song for you during his show.

Don has a large record collection that he has recorded onto his computer so he can bring the music to you on DooWopRadio4U®.

Don has been married to his DooWop partner for 44 years.

Cordials

Doreen is the darling other half of our own Dandy Don.  Married for 44 years she is our fill-in DJ.  When one of our DJ’s can not make their scheduled show she will fill-in the time slot.  She is also the creator of these webpages.

Doreen was born and raised in New Rochelle, N.Y.  She may not be able to sing the music since she can’t carry a tune but she does love listening to it and sharing it with others.

Doreen is a big acappella fan and always makes sure she has a few acappella tunes in her playlist.  Sometimes she even likes to do an entire acappella show or play the acappella then the music version of a song.  You just never know.
